Imagination and the Holy Spirit

Last week with the Jr. Highers we had a great conversation about the Holy Spirit. What a profoundly fascinating and terribly mysterious thing it is, that when Jesus went to His home in  heaven, He promised us that He would give us His "helper?!?!" to be with us on earth. The great thing is, when the Holy Spirit came with fire in Acts Chapter 2, Peter was ready for it. Everyone else thought that people were drunk when they started talking in strange tounges, but Peter quickly turned his bible to the book of Joel and read
"17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams"

He knew that God was doing something entirely new in their midst. He knew it was time for Jesus' followers to start a new chapter in the story of God's people. He knew that the Holy Spirit was giving young people the vision for how to take the anchient truth of God into the uncertain future. He knew that the Holy Spirit was giving the old people even more radical dreams of what needed to be done to bring healing to a broken land, and incite a movement, the likes of which had never been know before. St. Andrews is part of that movement, and to prep our selves for the bold vision we will need to have to live the way of Jesus in 2012, we tapped  our imagination to see what was already there. The results were so weired, and so fun, I had to share them with you! Here they are!
